What determines the cost of web scraping?

Web scraping services typically cost between €250 and €5,000+ depending on complexity, data volume, and delivery frequency. A one-time scrape of a website with 100 products is cheaper than a daily price monitor with API integration.

The ROI of web scraping is directly measurable. Price monitoring yields 5-15% extra margin through competition-oriented pricing. Lead generation delivers qualified B2B leads for a fraction of the cost of outbound sales. Product data import saves dozens of hours of manual entry per week.

Channify builds custom scrapers that deliver in CSV, API, direct Shopify import, or Google Sheets. You pay a one-time build cost and optionally a monthly fee for hosting and maintenance.

From request to delivery in 4 steps

1

Request and scope

You describe which data you want, from which source, and in which format. We assess feasibility and give a quote.

2

Build scraper

We build the custom scraper, test it on the target website, and validate data quality. You receive a sample.

3

Delivery and integration

We deliver the data in the agreed format. For ongoing scrapes, we set up hosting and monitoring.

4

Maintenance (optional)

Websites change. For ongoing scrapes, we offer maintenance at a monthly fee, including adjustments when the source website changes.

Frequently asked questions about web scraping costs

Is web scraping legal?

Web scraping of public data is legal, provided you don't bypass login credentials, don't collect GDPR-sensitive personal data, and respect the robots.txt and terms of service of the website. Channify works exclusively within these frameworks.

What does a simple one-time scrape cost?

A one-time scrape of up to 500 product pages starts from €250. You receive the data as CSV with product titles, prices, descriptions, and images. More complex scrapes with pagination or JavaScript rendering cost more.

How do I calculate the ROI of price monitoring?

Example: you sell 500 products with an average margin of €20. With competition-oriented pricing, you increase your margin by 10% (€2 per product). At 100 sales per week, that's €200 extra per week, or €10,400 per year. The scraper costs €495 one-time + €99/month (€1,185/year). ROI: 8.8x in year 1.

Can the scraper import directly into my Shopify?

Yes. We can set up the scraper so that product data is imported or updated directly via the Shopify API. This is ideal for supplier imports: new products and price changes are automatically processed.

What if the website I scrape changes?

Websites regularly change their HTML structure. For ongoing scrapes, maintenance is included: we adjust the scraper within 24-48 hours after detecting an error. One-time scrapes don't need maintenance.

How often can the scraper run?

From one-time to real-time. Most monitoring scrapers run daily or hourly. Real-time scraping (continuous) is possible but requires more server capacity and is more expensive. We advise the optimal frequency based on how quickly your data changes.
