Customer data sync: consistent customer information in both systems

Customer data sync ensures your customer information in Shopify and Exact Online is always identical. New customers in Shopify are automatically created in Exact Online. Existing customers are linked based on email address or customer number.

Channify synchronizes name, address, contact details, VAT number (for B2B) and customer groups. We ensure B2B customers with a valid VAT number are correctly processed in Exact Online, including reverse charge.

How do you prevent duplicate customers in Exact Online?

We link customers by email address as a unique identifier. Existing customers are recognized and updated instead of recreated.

How are B2B customers with VAT number processed?

We check whether a customer has a valid VAT number. If so, the customer is created as a B2B relation with reverse charge. We can also integrate VIES validation.

Are guest orders also synchronized?

Yes, guest orders are also synchronized. We create a one-time relation in Exact Online or link to a general guest relation, depending on your preference.

Can I also synchronize product data?

Yes, in addition to customer data, we can also synchronize product data (SKU, price, description) between Shopify and Exact Online. Let us know which data you want to link.
