Frequently asked questions about data import

How often is my product data synchronized?

Channable pulls your data standard multiple times per day. For Shopify via the API, this can be up to every 15 minutes. For inventory-sensitive channels, we adjust it to be more frequent.

Does data import also work with other platforms than Shopify?

Yes, Channable supports more than 50 platforms including Magento, WooCommerce, Lightspeed, CCV Shop, PrestaShop and BigCommerce. Custom CSV/XML imports are also possible.

What happens if a product has no EAN or GTIN?

We identify missing fields during the analysis and solve this with rules: we generate EANs where possible or fill in alternative identifiers that the channel accepts.

Can I also import custom fields?

Yes, custom fields you have set up in Shopify (metafields) are automatically included in the import. We can then map these to channel-specific fields.
